The Ram 2500 is a full-size heavy-duty pickup that Ram offers in seven trim levels, and all of them are available to you when you custom order a 2023 Ram 2500. The Tradesman is a work truck configured toward commercial fleet customers, and the Big Horn is similar but has some upgrades the average consumer expects, such as cloth upholstery. The Laramie is well equipped and the most popular trim level. The Rebel and Power Wagon are targeted at off-road enthusiasts. The Limited Longhorn delivers a luxury experience and the Limited an even higher-end luxury experience.
The Ram 2500 with the regular cab has two doors is paired with an 8-foot bed. The crew cab has four full-size doors and gives you the choice of the long bed or a standard bed that measures 6 feet 4 inches. The larger crew cab also has four full-size doors but is limited to the shorted bed. When you custom order a 2023 Ram 2500, there are numerous ways that you can customize the exterior. These include appearance packages, wheel designs, bed enhancements, running boards and so forth.
Once you’ve selected the trim level for your 2023 Ram 2500, the next step is to choose the cab configuration. There are three cab configurations available for Melloy Ram custom orders. The regular cab is a traditional pickup cab that seats up to three. You also have a choice of a crew cab or an even larger crew cab, which can seat either six or five depending on your seating choice. The crew cab is certainly roomy enough in the rear seat to accommodate adults, but we recommend the larger crew cab to customers who’ll often have adults in the rear seat as the additional space allows them to stretch out.
Class IV trailering equipment is standard when you custom order a 2023 Ram 2500, but if you intend to tow a trailer often, we recommend stepping up to at least the Big Horn as it includes the integrated trailer brake controller. Trailer sway damping is standard, and there are various optional trailering setups, such as gooseneck. Another reason to choose at least the Big Horn as this is the point in the lineup where push-button start and remote keyless entry become standard, and the Laramie is a popular choice as that is the point at which remote ignition becomes standard.
The Tradesman, Big Horn and Laramie trim levels include rear-wheel drive as standard equipment and offer four-wheel drive as an option. All models beyond the Laramie include four-wheel drive. Regardless of drive layout, the Ram 2500 has a shiftable eight-speed automatic transmission. The base engine is a 410-horsepower V8, and you also have the option of a turbo-diesel V6 that makes 850 lb.-ft. of torque.
The Tradesman and Big Horn have a 5.0-inch touch screen. All other models have an 8.4-inch touch screen with more advanced infotainment software. Integrated navigation is optional with the larger touch screen. Driver-assistance technologies are available with Melloy Ram custom orders as well, and many of those technologies become standard with the higher trim levels. Those include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring.
