The Ram 3500 is what has traditionally been called a one-ton pickup truck. Ram offers it in five trim levels, which is the first choice you’ll need to make when you custom order a 2023 Ram 3500. The base model is the Tradesman, and it may surprise you when compared to other work trucks. The Big Horn adds to the base package with cloth seating and carpeting. The Laramie is well equipped and aimed at the average consumer. The Longhorn is a luxury model, and the Limited adds high-end exclusive and is an excellent option for the contractor who works out of their truck.
Ram offers two bed lengths for custom orders to El Paso dealerships: a long bed that measures 8 feet and a standard bed that measures 6 feet 4 inches. The two-door regular cab comes exclusively with the longer bed. The four-door mega cab comes exclusively with the standard bed, and the four-door crew cab gives you the choice of either bed. Ram also offers a wide range of options through which you can customize your exterior, including various appearance packages.
There are three cab options available for Melloy Ram custom orders of the 2023 Ram 3500: regular, crew and mega. The regular cab has a bench seat and can set up to three. The crew and mega cabs can have a front bench seat or front bucket seats depending on the trim level, and that main difference between them is that the mega gives you 3 inches of additional rear legroom. While not a huge difference, it’s a nice upgrade if you will often have adult passengers in the rear seats.
When you custom order a 2023 Ram 3500, Class V trailering equipment is included standard. However, there are various trailering packages available as options. With the default setup, maximum towing capacity is 14,000 pounds. With a gooseneck configuration, it is 37,000 pounds. If you have specific trailering or payload requirements, we have team members available to help ensure that the ratings for the truck you build meet your needs.
Rear-wheel drive is standard with all trim levels up to the Laramie. Four-wheel drive is optional and is standard beyond that point in the lineup. The standard engine for Melloy Ram custom orders of the Ram 3500 is a V8 that makes 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. You also have the option of a turbo-diesel six-cylinder in two configurations. The standard-output engine makes 370 hp and 850 lb.-ft., and the high-output engine makes 420 hp and 1,075 lb.-ft.
The base model has a 5-inch infotainment touch screen and a rearview monitor. An 8.4-inch touch screen is optional with the base model and included beyond that point. The Laramie adds front and rear parking sensors. The Longhorn adds integrated navigation and connected services. The Limited adds a 12-inch touch screen and a blind-spot monitor with trailer coverage. Many of those included features are available as options earlier in the lineup. Other options include traffic-adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, a rear camera mirror and advanced trailering technologies.
