When you custom order a 2023 Ram ProMaster, you have the choice of either the 1500, 2500 and 3500. The ProMaster 1500 meets the needs of most of our customers. The ProMaster 2500 and 3500 provide higher payload ratings, and we’re happy to discuss your needs with you if you think that you may need those higher capacities. Ram does not offer trim levels as it does with most of its vehicles. Instead, there is a standard equipment package and wide range of options that are available individually and grouped.
The standard wheelbase is 136 inches. A shorter 118-inch wheelbase is available. You also have the option of a 156-inch extended wheelbase, and there is an extended version available that does not increase the wheelbase but which does add more length to the vehicle. Three roof heights are available when you custom order a 2023 Ram ProMaster: low, high and super high. The cargo van has solid side panels whereas those are replaced with windows for the window van configuration. Note that the ProMaster is also available in a cutaway configuration, which is a good option for businesses who want to use the ProMaster as the basis for a custom vehicle.
The standard interior setup for the 2023 Ram ProMaster includes a driver’s seat and a front passenger seat. You can delete the front passenger seat for additional cargo capacity. The passenger area can be upgraded to accommodate two people. There are also a wide range of front seat options, such as heated seats and swivel seats. Cargo capacity will depend on the wheelbase and roof height you choose. If you opt for the window van, seating can be expanded to six, and even more seating options are available through third-party upfitters that partner with Ram.
The ProMaster is a front-wheel-drive vehicle. For customers not familiar with cargo vans, this is a notable difference from most other cargo vans. It means that the drivetrain is right under the driver, and that makes the ProMaster much easier to maneuver in tight urban environments.
A single powertrain is included with all Melloy Ram custom orders of the ProMaster. Ram pairs a nine-speed automatic transmission with a fuel-efficient V6 engine that makes 280 hp and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. The standard 1500 model has maximum payload rating of 4,000 pounds. That rating is increased to 4,230 and 4,680 pounds with the 2500 and 3500, respectively. If you’d to tow a trailer with your ProMaster, a trailering upgrade is available and allows for towing up to 6,910 pounds.
Standard equipment includes the Uconnect 5 infotainment system, a 7.0-inch touch screen and a rearview camera system. A 10.1-inch touch screen with an integrated navigation system is available as an option. Many driver assists are included standard, including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist recognition. There also a number of options available individually and group. These include intelligent cruise control, a surround-view camera system, front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitor and lane departure alert with mitigation.
