Maximum payload capacity for the Ram 3500 is 7,680 pounds, and maximum towing capacity is 37,090 pounds. The standard 6.4L V8 is paired with an eight-speed auto and makes 410 hp and 429 lb.-ft. The Cummins engine is paired with a six-speed auto and makes at least 370 hp and 850 lb.-ft. The optional high-output Cummins makes 420 hp and 1,075 lb.-ft. A Class V receiver hitch is standard. Various gooseneck/fifth-wheel configurations are available. An integrated trailer brake controller is optional with the Tradesman and otherwise standard.
